With Dylan moving to New York, we decided that the house needed a feminine touch (and also someone who could take rad photos and enjoyed dish washing like Dylan did…). So we’re pleased to introduce to you the latest addition to the Habitat trinity, Miss Carly Ealey. Carly is a bad ass photographer, she likes to ride her fixie, aka The Last Unicorn, and her other hobbies include painting anatomical hearts and vintage toys. Next time you see her at Influx, welcome her to the hood.

Another Four Day Weekend

It seems like just yesterday that we were partying with The Dodos in the attic, taking shots off the bag wine at 4am with 40 people cheering in the background. Well it’s that time of year again, and Sezio has brought back their Four Day Weekend festival. The lineup is stacked once again, featuring Real Estate, Lord Huron, Peter Wolf Crier and many more… so in one final tribute to our old pal Dylan, let’s celebrate another Four Day Weekend!

By The Time The Sun Is Hot

Friend, film maker, and neighbor Brad Kester has a new short film that we’re excited to debut in our living room this Friday. From the looks of the trailer above, By The Time The Sun Is Hot has the feeling of a dark epic set in biblical times. Before Brad’s film we’ll get to see another short called Day Labor directed by Lowell Frank. Cruise over to the house at 8pm, beer and snacks will be provided.

Joshua Krause “Extracted Abstractions”

Tomorrow morning San Diego based graphic designer and fine artist Joshua Krause will be on our door step, ready to hang 60+ prints and mixed media pieces. His solo exhibition entitled “Extracted Abstractions” will open the following evening (Wednesday 6-10pm). Cruise by for a drink and to check out our latest installation at the house.
